sternal mass – biopsy suggestions

i’m planning to biopsy this mass with ultrasound guidance tomorrow.  Was planning to sedate and use an 18 GA needle.  Would you do anything differently?

    Are you doing core biopsy? I haven’t ventured there yet. For FNA, I’ve had good luck with 22G and 25G.

    Also, you might get better resolution with the curvilinear probe?

    Lookks like a chondrosarcoma… will be crunchy on the cut. I like to true cut these in the undifferenitated area adjacent to the mineralization but nearly anywhere should be dx
