Caudal right abdominal mass seen in a dog with pancreatitis, diabetic ketoacidosis
12 yr old FS Yorkshire terrier presented to the E-clinic 3 days ago for several weeks of PU/PD and lethargic for a few days. E-clinic diagnosed the dog with pancreatitis and DKA. Use of alfaxan for an echo on a fractious cat
I need to peform a preanesthetic echocardiogram on a fractious cat that will be undergoing radiation therapy for a sinonasal carcinoma. The cat is somewhat fractious and resistant to restraint. My first choice is burtorphanol or butorphanol-ace but wanted to know what your thoughts on using alfaxan? How will alfaxan affect the echo results?
