A 15-year-old neutered male DSH cat was presented for evaluation of polyphagia, weight loss, and severe splenomegaly. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included leukocytosis, mild hypoalbuminemia, and an elevated BUN 42.

Splenic disease: neoplasia (lymphoma, mast cell tumor), splenitis, torsion, congestion; chronic kidney disease.
FNA was performed and no complications were noted. Cytology revealed lymphoma.
Infiltrative splenic and hepatic pattern. Round cell neoplasia is suspected.
The spleen was severely enlarged at 2.0 cm with scalloping contour and hypoechoic parenchyma. The liver was severely enlarged with increased portal markings. The common bile duct measured 0.2 cm. Regional hepatic and epigastric lymph nodes were enlarged. Free fluid was noted, and is likely paraneoplastic, due to lymphatic obstruction.
