– 5 year old female backyard chicken presented with diarrhea, decreased appetite and lethargy
– owner was concerend about the patient being egg bound
– soft swelling noted under cloaca and x-ray showed a mass lesion in this region
– ultrasound shows what looks like a loop of intestine with digesta present
– I am thinking a herniated loop of bowel – perineal hernia?
Anyone have experince with scaning chickens?
