The position and contour would suggest splenoazygos but can’t be sure. Bile acids are up I imagine? everythign is there for ehpss sounds like ameroid time assumign BAs are high to finish the profile.

Yes post bile acids elevated. I am hoping this one will get referred. Owner has pet insurance so highly possible. Funny the liver is not small but I guess that would be a good thing if the shunt is to be occluded.

Cats with shunts often have normal liver size unlike dogs. Dogs with shunts always have microhepatica. We need to do a cat shunt study characterizing them thats for sure. So many shunts so little time lol.

hilarious i just had a cat
hilarious i just had a cat wiht a splenocaval shunt today and darn cat had a normal pv/cvc ratio which threw me off a bit … but its a cat they do what they want lol. But it did have the meduallsry rim swollen kidneys that you speak of JP. Ill try to post it tomorrow
