Feline Cardiac Murmur

I will be the first to admit I am not Gods gift to feline echocardiography. I would appreciate some imput.

Vanilla is a 7 year old Siamese cross. A great cat. Any deficiencies in the echo was due to me and not the cat. You could not ask for a better patient.

Vanilla has a grade 3/6 HSM PMI – L side and 2/6 R side. She is is in Stage 2 Chronic kidney disease. She also has stage 3- moderate to large calculus. She needs a dental prophy. I did an Echo today and I would like some feedback. I don’t do many cat echos.

To me the ventricular walls seem a bit thickened- but I believe my allignment could have been longer and less papillary muscle in the study. The L atrium was normal as well as contractility. I thought the R atrium was actually about the same size as the L atrium or possibly a bit larger.

I was unable to determine the cause of the murmur. My doppler studies were not great.  At this point I just want to make sure she is an OK for general anesthesia next week. Thanks for any feedback.
