  • 8 year old FN Whippet
  • Not vaccinated farm dog
  • 2 week hx progressive lethargy
  • Flat, Pyrexic, hunched/painful abdomen, neutrophilia, borderline non-regen anaemia, mild increase in urea, increased cholesterol, mild increase in liver enzymes (had recent steroids), mildly decreased platelets (120 but also giant platelets), urine protein ++ (urinalysis pending)
  • Blood stasis present in heart and large vessels, worried about hypercoagulability
  • What do you think is causing the cranial abdominal steatitis?

The CVC looks big in your first video the enhanced fat is likely because of early ascites from passive congestion. Check the chest for rt chf/PHT or obstrictive caval disease.

  2. Thanks EL, what do you think

Thanks EL, what do you think of the kidneys?

The heart looked ok from a subcostal view with microconvex probe but had significant ‘smoke’ in the left ventricle.

  3. Thick cortex non specific GN

Thick cortex non specific GN pattern… IM thinking potenital CVC clot in chest or PHT causing the cvc dilation

  4. Are those large LN we are
