prostatic mineralization vs. urolith

10 yr old MN German Shepherd.  Hematuria on UA (none appreciated grossly).  Also having some frank rectal discharge.  Normal appearing distal colon on ultrasound.  Looking for some input on the hyperechoic area in the prostate.  Not appreciating shadowing.  Could this be a urolith? Non painful.  A urinary catheter was passed easily into the bladder, no resistance.

If there are no signs of stranguria or dysuria then would monitor. Also catheter passes easily – what size was it?

    • I am not sure – rDVM

I am not sure – rDVM performed after I left.  Thank you for the input – they are planning to monitor.  For the rectal bleeding, they did pick up a new mass that exfoliated and they submitted for histo.  I did not see it on my ultrasound.
