Reaction to Sotalol

I have a 13 year old large breed mix in Stage C CHF- Cardiomyopathy

Currently being treated with Vetmedin, Furosemide and Enalapril.

At this point she is compensated although I have had to increase all her medications.

EKG- PVC’s and Ventricular Tachycardia.

This dog has already been monitored with a Holter.

Cardiologist placed this dog on Sotalol- but she vomits this medication.

Any suggestions? Alternative therapy? I have tried to contact the cardiologist- but she has not returned my calls.

I thought these Class III drugs are negative inotropes and I am concerned about decompensating cardiac function further.

Thanks for any info you can give me.
