Abdominal ultrasound shows a hypoechoic band extending across the ventral spleen in the near field.
The video clip shows that this band starts cranial to and outside the spleen.
I am calling this an artifact as it is not present in my transverse views of the spleen.
Am I correct in calling this an artifact and what causes this?

This is a software issue with the logiq e that pops up here and there. I have reported it several times to GE but I havent seen an update that resolves it. You can talk to your rep to see if they have a solution.
