Renal mass in a 16 year old FS DSH cat
A 16-year-old spayed female DSH cat was presented for evaluation of inappropriate urination. Urinalysis showed inappropriate SG (1.015) and hematuria with culture being negative. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included mild microcytic-hypochromic anemia, mild hypoproteinemia, and mild azotemia.

A 12-year-old spayed female Sheltie dog with a history of poor appetite over a few weeks was presented for evaluation of anorexia, lethargy, and diarrhea. Abnormalities on physical examination included dehydration, slight polypnea, and possible ascites with a non-tender abdomen. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included leukocytosis, azotemia, and hyperkalemia.

Renal calculi in a 5 year old MN DMH cat
A 5-year-old male neutered DMH cat was presented for evaluation of PU/PD, abnormal behavior, and inappropriate urination (periuria). Low-normal specific gravity (1.014) was evident on urinalysis. CBC was within reference range, but serum biochemistry revealed azotemia.
