    A 13-year-old NM canine mix was presented for evaluation of vomiting and anorexia, Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were left shift neutrophilia, elevated liver enzyme activity, hyperglobulinemia, azotemia, and hypercholesterolemia. In addition there was abdominal pain with imaging.

  • Nephrosis with intratubular oxylates suggestive of antifreeze toxicity in a 10 month old MI miniature poodle

    A 10-month-old intact male toy poodle dog was presented for evaluation of acute onset of vomiting. Initial lab work had shown azotemia (creatinine 3.3, BUN 95), which progressively increased over 3 days (creatinine 9, BUN 151). Severe proteinuria was present on urinalysis.

  • Pyelonephritis in a 10 year old FS DSH cat

    A 10-year-old SF DSH was presented for evaluation of oral ulcers and anorexia for several days. On physical examination, resistance to abdominal palpation was present. Urinalysis showed isosthenuria, 1+ protein, and trace hematuria. Abnormalities on serum biochemistry were azotemia, hyperphosphatemia, and mild hyperkalemia.
